The LGM

No...I had no idea what LGM stood for either!!! Yet I was studying the effects it had had on the post-glaciated landscape of the Lake District!! I have just spent 3 days studying moraines...drumlins...humocky things...and roche moutenee and I still am none the wiser! All I seem to have learnt is how much I need to know!! All glacial deposits look like 'hills' once they have been vegetated!!I may never be able to look at a 'hill' in the same way again!! I did also adopt a very nice Roche Moutenee...(the name of which stems from some kind of rock wig maker!!) named by Tim as Henry...and I'm sure he had striations! Anyway...was a rather intense...tiring...fun...mind blowing...windy weekend! Now I need a hot shower and bed!

Adios

P.S LGM stands for the Last Glacial Maximum in case you were wondering!

Very good! Nice to see you educating the masses about very important glacial topics!

Wow! That was educational! I'll try to remember that the next time I'm on a glacier. Oh wait! I live in a desert! Do the same rules apply to sand dunes as well?
